Thanks to a Giveaway from Batiste and Eylure lashes I managed to get my self a lovely package of lashes. Best post day ever - I never win anything!
The lashes I was most eager to try were the Katy Perry lashes. The ones I have are Ka-Boom but reading the back of the box it's seems there's also Ka-Ching and Ka-Pow. These, although they have a bit of blue in, aren't too in-your-face so I decided to try them out first.
Having had a few attempts at doing my own strip lashes before, failing miserably and leaving the house late and in a huff! I took TBD's advice and voila my lashes were stuck to my eyelids, safely, straight and most importantly with barely any eyelash glue in my eye (practice makes perfect - maybe next time there will be none!)
TBD's trick is to use an eyeliner brush and apply the glue (after waiting 2 minutes) directly to your lash line. Although I have heard you're not supposed to do this I'm sure it won't be the end of the world, I gave it ago regardless and it worked a treat. Although it's not mentioned in the tutorial also make sure you cut the strips to the right length first. It might also help if your lashes are straight from the packet to curl them around a bit as mine were really straight which makes it difficult at first on curved lash lines.
The finished result. What do you think? I'd also love to hear some of your strip lash tips!
